I hope that this danger will give us the opportunity to create a better world and a brighter future for everybody, not just the privileged.

Q: The book is also a reminder that life is an odyssey that transcends lands and borders. I have been a foreigner all my life. I was born in Peru and raised in Chile during the first years of my childhood. My home is where my loved ones are. My husband, my son and daughter-in-law, my three grandchildren and most of my friends are in California.

Also, my foundation and my work are in California. However, when asked from where I am, my answer is always Chile. In truth, I have lived very few years in Chile.
