As an Australian, the way people carry on about this annoys me way, way more than the lack of an R rating. Please Log In to post. This edit will also create new pages on Giant Bomb for:. Until you earn points all your submissions need to be vetted by other Giant Bomb users.

Use your keyboard! I am very certain I can make my own mind up on what is suitable for me to play and what is not - and certainly Mortal Kombat is one franchise which is NOT suitable for under 18 persons to play. The lack of this rating also allows international communities to see Australian adults as immature and incompetent, discourages foreign investment in this country, and will provide inaccurate and insufficient information to parents concerned for their children on the games that they play.
Re: Australia Refuses to Classify Mortal Kombat will i be able to play this game on xbox if i import? EDIT: nice email xevious its nice to see some rational and informed emails sent to the classifcation board instead of just blind rage and swearing which im sure they are getting aswell which is not helping our cause.
MOW New member. Man, I feel so sorry for you guys in Australia. To me, when I read the report, the government acts like the violence is actually real. I mean c'mon, its just animation and pure entertainment. This type of stuff this series has been doing for years. Unless this game contained any racial or sexist violence, this is nonsense!
BTW, xevious, very classy email to the Board. Adults should not be treated this way. The decision to ban Mortal Kombat is absolutely classless and outright unfair. You have every reason to be angry. Even if they try to make it illegal, maybe you can get it from Ebay and the seller can package the game for you in ways that keeps it from being obvious that you bought Mortal Kombat.
Kind of like buying a 60 dollar oven mitt. Catch my drift? Re: Australia Refuses to Classify Mortal Kombat It's funny how the one thing that spader hated about this game the level of gore, do I need to put that? The Term "Modified" comes up alot when searching for games but I dont understand if this means that: 1.
All Imported Games are allowed if already classified, or 2. Only Games Modified by Australian Manufacturers are allowed?
